Best Futures

Best Futures is an independent Nordic comparison service for futures brokers, trading platforms and prop trading firms.

The team is made up of traders, former investment firm executives, finance specialists and digital analysis experts. Together, the team represents more than 80 years of experience in the financial markets, including futures, currencies, commodities, derivatives, trading platforms and active trading.

Unlike many international comparison services, we base our assessments on actual use, ongoing analysis and direct experience with the products we cover.

Meet the team behind Best Futures

Experience from trading, finance, strategy and broker analysis.

Stefan Eriksen has more than 20 years of experience in financial services and trading currency and derivative products.

He trained at Høgskolen i Sør-Trøndelag and holds a Master of Science in Strategy and International Business from BI Norwegian Business School.

Stefan was CEO of Nor Securities from 2004 to 2011, and later COO and Managing Director at Skilling. Today he is Managing Director of FX Securities.

At Best Futures, Stefan contributes assessments of regulatory matters, broker structure, market access and derivative products.

Lennart Clausen holds a degree in economics from BI Norwegian Business School and has worked professionally in trading since 2000.

He began his career as a broker at Nordea covering currencies, interest rates and options, before moving into senior trading and asset-management roles at both Skilling and FX Securities.

Over more than two decades he has worked with currencies, commodities, indices, derivatives and futures-related products.

At Best Futures, Lennart analyses trading costs, market structure, trading conditions and futures products, among other things.

Håkon Fuglaas holds a bachelor's degree in economics from BI Norwegian Business School and has a background as a currency broker.

He has completed the licensing programme of the Norwegian Securities Dealers Association and has run K2 Trading since 2017.

Håkon has previously ranked among the most-followed traders on eToro, with more than 5,000 investors copying his trading strategies.

At Best Futures, he contributes hands-on testing of trading platforms, user-experience analysis and evaluation of functionality for active traders.

Morten Hillestad studied finance and Energy Management at NTNU and Nord University.

He co-founded Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) and spent nearly a decade in senior roles covering strategy, commercial growth and business development.

He later served as Chief Strategy Officer at Gentoo Media, one of the world's largest publicly listed digital comparison companies.

At Best Futures, Morten is responsible for methodology, analysis, content strategy and ongoing platform development.

Ole Henrik Lund has been an active futures trader since 2012 and was Norway's first Topstep Funded Trader.

He has a background in finance, energy, banking and digital business models, and has worked on projects in both Europe and the US.

Ole Henrik holds a Master of Science from NMBU and has held roles across financial analysis, business development, capital markets and international partnerships throughout his career.

At Best Futures, he is responsible for analysing and testing futures brokers, prop firms and trading platforms, and for dialogue with brokers, technology providers and industry players.

His focus is making sure every review is built on documented criteria, hands-on experience and what actually matters to traders across Europe.
