In briefWhat you need to know
  • Top One Futures has launched Top One 2.0, stating a new trader dashboard, 24/7 support and a faster support and payout process.
  • The company states 228,000 accounts, 28,000 clients, 122 countries and more than $27 million paid out to traders. These figures are not independently verified by Best Futures.

  • The key assessment is still drawdown, consistency, payout requirements, the news rule and the actual cost after passing the evaluation.

Top One Futures has launched Top One 2.0, an update to the prop-firm platform with a new trader dashboard and a clearer focus on support, payouts and its Elite Access accounts. For European futures traders the news is relevant because Top One is already among the prop firms Best Futures follows most closely.

On its own homepage, the company states that Top One 2.0 includes 24/7 support, a support response time under 60 seconds and an average payout time under 12 hours. The company also states 228,000 accounts, 28,000 clients, 122 countries and more than $27 million paid out to traders. These are Top One Futures' own figures and should be read as company-provided information, not as numbers independently documented by Best Futures.

Top One 2.0 is mostly about the user experience

The visible change is a new trader dashboard. For prop-firm clients, a dashboard is more than cosmetics. It's where the trader tracks drawdown, payout requirements, account status, rules, reset options and any transition toward a funded account. A better dashboard can therefore reduce friction, but it doesn't change the underlying risk in futures or in the prop-firm model.

Top One also highlights faster support and payouts. Improvements like these can matter in an industry where many traders need quick answers on rules, account discrepancies or payout questions. Even so, each payout must still be assessed against the rules, requirements and approval process in force at the time.

Elite Access: a low entry point, but not the full picture

Elite Access is the most concrete product point in the relaunch. Top One Futures' help center describes the model as a fast-track evaluation with a one-time fee of $39, a 30-day evaluation period, a 6 percent profit target, a minimum of one trading day, a $35 reset fee during the evaluation, and an activation fee from $139 to $359 depending on account size.

One important clarification: $39 is the entry price for the evaluation, not necessarily the total cost if the trader passes. Once the evaluation is passed, the activation fee applies. On top of that, a reset during the evaluation and a reset of a funded account are two different things.

DrawdownEnd-of-day trailing drawdownMust be understood before choosing position size.

ConsistencyNone in evaluation, 40 percent in fundedThe 40 percent rule is checked at the payout request.
Reset$35 during evaluationFunded reset is stated separately, from $299 to $1,349.

The reset prices need a closer read

Top One Futures states that Elite Access carries a $35 reset fee during the evaluation phase. That is not the same as a funded reset. In the help center, funded reset prices are stated from $299 to $1,349, depending on account size. Traders shouldn't stop at the entry price alone.

The difference versus Elite and Elite Daily lies mainly in the daily loss limit, consistency and activation fee. In Top One's own comparison, Elite Access has no daily loss limit and no consistency rule during the evaluation, while Elite Daily has a 40 percent consistency rule during the evaluation and no activation fee. In the funded phase, however, Elite Access does carry a 40 percent consistency rule.

Top One Futures is not Topstep

It's also worth clearing up a possible mix-up: Top One Futures and Topstep are different companies. Top One Futures offers several account types, including Elite Access, Elite Daily and Instant Funding. Topstep has its own model with the Trading Combine and its own funded rules. The names can sound similar, but the rules, products and customer journey differ.

What should traders do now?

Top One 2.0 gives Top One Futures more visibility in the prop-firm market, but the most important job still sits with the trader. Before buying, check the current entry fee, activation fee, reset fee, drawdown, consistency requirement, payout requirement, news rule, maximum number of accounts and which platforms are actually available.

Our assessment is that Top One 2.0 is a relevant update for traders who are already considering futures prop firms. Even so, it's the rules — not the homepage — that decide whether the model fits your trading style.
